Rutland Water Nature Reserve - Rutland Water is one of the largest man-made reservoirs in Europe and is located in Rutland, England’s smallest county. Set in 3,100 acres of countryside, the reservoir offers somthing for everyone in an exciting yet peaceful environment. It has a 25-mile circular track for walking and you can hire a cycle or bring your own.
Rutland Water has an international reputation for sailing, trout fishing and bird watching and all these activities are open to day visitors. The site includes the Anglian Water Bird Watching Centre with its fascinating exhibition and internationally famous nature reserve with 20 bird hides. It is the site of the first breeding ospreys in England for 150 years and is also the home of the British Bird Watching Fair each August.

Morkery Wood - In the past the wood has been used as a munitions dump for RAF South Witham. Throughout the wood are hardcore paths and the foundations of former buildings all giving clues to a former life. Now the paths make for easy walking, even on the wettest of days, and make walking through a wood with a push chair a dream!
Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue - The Yew Tree Avenue is a unique collection of 150 clipped yew trees, most over 200 years old. The Avenue was once the carriage drive to Clipsham Hall, the centre of the Clipsham Estate.
Greetham Valley Golf Club has two 18 hole courses, a 9 hole pitch and put, a covered driving range and a hotel. The complex is enjoyed by thousands of golfers every year and you could be one of them - booking advisable.
