South Witham Playgroup
Offers a friendly, caring and safe environment where children are encouraged to learn through play. Places are available from two years of age and free educational places are available for three and four year old children.
The playgroup is sited in the school building and are OFSTED inspected. The playgroup has a new garden area, helping to provide more outdoor activities, watch out for some prize winning vegetables. Many thanks to Richard Penfield for his time and effort in building and installing the new beds and Adam Frost Landscapes for providing the materials.
Our Shining Ofsted Report!
It may have been a miserable summer but the playgroup has just received a glowing Ofsted report.
The official body for the assessment of education, including nurseries, has judged that our playgroup provides strong provision for the children. The quality and standards of care are good and children are encouraged to be independent. With the New Year finally seeing the refurbishment taking place, the Playgroup will go from strength to strength.

Children In Need 10th – 14th November. The Children will be decorating cakes to sell at the end of Sessions. All proceeds to Children In Need
Come along to the Angel Inn from 8.30pm Friday, 14th November for a fantastic Race and Roulette Night. Fun and games throughout the evening and some great Prizes to be won.
Support our Tombola Stall at South Witham Christmas Fayre – Saturday 29th November, 2-6pm in the Village Hall.
Children’s Christmas Party – Thursday 18th November. A Big Thank You to the Fun Blast girls who will kindly be providing the entertainment for the children. Parents and Friends are invited at 11am in time to see Santa.
Our Christmas Open morning is Friday 19th December. The Children will be in Nativity Costume and Perform Songs and Rhymes for anyone who would like to come and watch. There will be a Raffle and we will even give you a cuppa and a cake.
Playgroup closes Friday 19th December 2008 – Tuesday 6th January 2009.
