South
Witham is both a village and parish on the River Witham south of
Grantham, situated on the borders of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and
Rutland. It has it's very own nature reserve
that surrounds a road which occupies what was once a railway cutting.
The area has three golf courses within four miles and is just five
miles from Rutland Water. Just north of South Witham, in a field known
as Temple Hill, is the site of a preceptory of the Knights Templar.
There are many active groups in South Witham - Rainbows, Welcome Club, Football Club and many more which you will find on the site. It also has it's own village magazine that is published monthly - The Witham Word
The PLAY RANGERS project will be running at the Village hall on Friday 11th April 2008 from 10 am to 3 pm, for 11 - 17 years - Sports an parachute games, inflatable human football, sumo wrestling, and more. Contact Lisa Pexton 01476 406155 for consent form.
The site and it's contents are brought to you by the volunteers of South Witham Broadband.
